The year that is ending was rich in disruptions of all kinds for organizations.
Trade wars, uncertainties, market volatility, and all-out AI experimentation—it is more necessary than ever to establish a shared strategy that clearly guides choices and actions.
We offered you over 50 publications during the year. The main takeaway is this: sustainable performance no longer derives from static planning, but from a dynamic, collaborative, and continuous strategy process.
Four major themes emerge from our publications:
1. The Primacy of Customer Value
The most robust competitive advantage rests on a deep, fact-based understanding of the value perceived by customers and non-users.
Organizations must abandon internal assumptions in favor of rigorous market intelligence, obtained through direct observation ("customer safari") and amplified by artificial intelligence (AI) to define what is truly valued.
2. Execution as a Lever for Differentiation
Faced with a high failure rate for strategic initiatives, the capacity for execution becomes the true competitive advantage.
Success depends on the coherence between strategic choices, organizational capacity for change, and a corporate culture deliberately oriented toward agility, trust, and psychological safety.
3. AI as a Factor of Competitive Disadvantage for Laggards
Artificial intelligence is, it must be emphasized, a fundamental skill, and no longer a mere option. As Frédéric Brosseau mentioned in our podcast, you won't be replaced by AI, but by those who master AI skills.
While its democratized access makes it less a creator of a unique advantage, its non-use creates a definite competitive disadvantage. Without forgetting efficiency gains, AI acts as a powerful lever for analysis, customer knowledge, and knowledge management, but requires methodical integration and continuous skills development.
4. Strategy as a Collective Responsibility
Modern strategic leadership shifts from a "command and control" model to a "trust and empowerment" model.
Strategy is no longer the sole domain of management, but a distributed responsibility where leaders create the context, managers ensure systemic translation, and teams act as signal sensors. The co-creation of strategy is an indispensable lever for transforming resistance into engagement.
In summary, to transform ambition into tangible results, organizations must notably master the voice of the customer, integrate AI methodically, ensure the clarity of their fundamental choices, and guarantee their teams' commitment through a collaborative approach.

IAE-Pro Community
Regarding the Community, the proposed DeepDives enabled exploration of strategy, change, and innovation with members and invited experts.
Here are a few of the sessions from the year:
- How to explore value creation opportunities with our customers and non-consumers
- How to facilitate the management of strategic initiatives
- Master the levers of strategic communication
- Facilitate collaborative innovation through applied Design Thinking
- How to apply AI to contexts of strategy, innovation, and problem-solving
Observation, reflection, and strategic action were at the heart of our interactions. Also, the exploration of AI and its application to strategy and execution sparked several discussions and yielded numerous lessons.
What's coming in 2026
Planning for the next year has been underway for several weeks.
With Jean-François's departure from the podcast, several ideas are crystallizing and will lead to changes in the newsletter and the podcast. All this is to ensure maximum value while being integrated into the continuum of services and products offered.
We will also take advantage of the holiday season to rest. We will resume newsletter publications in January.
Have a wonderful holiday season,
Eric L’Heureux
