Quickly Adapt To AI Possibilities Or Disappear

2025-03-18

"Artificial intelligence will not replace humans. Humans will be replaced by humans who know how to use artificial intelligence."

This quote from Frédéric Brosseau (our podcast #208) highlights an unavoidable reality: AI is redefining the professional landscape. Ignoring this technological revolution means risking being quickly left behind. Rapidly adapting to these new opportunities is no longer an option but a necessity for any organization wishing to remain competitive.

Faced with this transformation, the solution lies in a proactive and structured approach. Organizations must invest in the development of their teams so that they can navigate this new era of AI with success and confidence.

Here are three essential areas to consider:

1. Increase the level of comfort and understanding

It is crucial to demystify AI for employees. Organize training sessions, workshops, and presentations to explain what AI is, how it works, and what its advantages (and limitations) are.

Invite an AI expert for a Q&A session or organize a demonstration of AI tools relevant to your sector. Follow the evolution of developments and stay up to date with use cases.

The more comfortable and informed employees feel, the more inclined they will be to adopt and integrate it into their daily work.

2. Increase competencies

AI requires new competencies. Invest in training programs to develop your employees' technical and analytical skills.

Offer online courses on using AI tools specific to your field or organize practical workshops on data analysis with AI. Master the writing of prompts and explore how ways of business practices can be transformed.

Offer mentoring and coaching opportunities to support this transition.

3. Increase usage levels

Don't just settle for theory. Implement pilot projects and concrete initiatives to allow employees to experiment with AI.

Identify repetitive and time-consuming tasks in your organization and explore how an AI tool could automate them. Test the possibilities in non-critical and supervised real-world situations to refine use cases.

Encourage innovation and risk-taking. Create an environment where experimentation is valued and where mistakes are considered learning opportunities.

Take action in less than 30 days

Depending on your level of comfort, competency, or usage level of these tools, here are three potential actions to implement in less than 30 days:

  1. Plan an information session on AI: Organize a team meeting or webinar to present the basics of AI and the tools available. Invite an expert or use online resources.
  2. Identify and test a relevant AI tool: Choose an AI tool that could improve a specific process in your business (for example, an automatic transcription tool or AI-based project management software). Test it with a small team and evaluate its potential.
  3. Create an AI working group: Form a team of volunteers interested in AI and task them with exploring new applications and sharing their discoveries with the rest of the company.

AI offers significant opportunities to transform your organization!

By investing in your teams and adopting a proactive approach, you can not only open the door to the improvement and optimization of your activities, but you can also rethink the very realization of value creation mechanisms.
